Whether you love the whole experience of taking time to seek out that perfect gift for each and every friend and family member, or simply need to pop in and out and get everything done quickly, we’re here to help!

That is why we’ve put together our guide to making your dreams of a great Christmas shopping trip come true, stating with wondering what gifts to buy.

Wondering what gifts to buy?

1)      Try our Gift Suggestion Service, available from now until 22 December. Simply view its very own webpage on our website, complete the easy and quick form and we will come back to you within 48 hours with some suggestions of items you may wish to look at in one or more stores in the Golden Centre.

2)      Speak with one of the friendly knowledgeable retail staff in-store. Every one of our retail team members are happy to help you choose wonderful presents for your friends and family.

Choosing your time to visit

In the lead up to Christmas we will also be giving you more time to shop. From 12-23 December stores within the Golden Centre will be open as follows:

Monday – Friday:            9am-7pm

Saturday – Sunday:        9am-6pm

On Christmas Eve we will be open from 9am-5pm.

Finding a parking spot

Did you know that, in addition to street parking, there are over 1,300 car parking spaces within a 15-minute walk of the Golden Centre.

Where to go for the perfect present

Did you know that when you come to the Malls, you are actually visiting three different owned and operated venues. The Golden Centre proudly sits at the heart of George Street Mall shopping, in between Meridian and Wall Street.

Have your gift purchase wrapped for free*

At the Golden Centre, gift wrapping is our opportunity thank shoppers for choosing our stores and to give back to our community at this special time of the year.

Visit our gift wrapping hub in Centre Court (near Boost Juice) between 11am-5pm from 13-24 December where trained staff will be wrapping items for FREE* that have been purchased on the day from Golden Centre stops. Shoppers should simply present a valid proof of purchase to quality for this complimentary service.

There are a range of luxurious wrapping paper choices including contemporary patterns, a New Zealand inspired design, plain and traditional alternatives and also something special for the kids. Ribbons, bands and bows will be added to create the perfect look.

In addition, to really celebrate this time of giving, the Golden Centre will be presenting a special disc to each person who has a gift wrapped. They can then place this in a special charity box and the Golden Centre will donate a $1 to The Catalytic Foundation.** For more information about the work that this fantastic organisation does, visit  https://catalytic.org.nz/about

With a total donation pool of $3,000, festive cheer will be spread far and wide.

*Proof of purchasing an item in a store within the Golden Centre must be provided to qualify for free gift wrapping. **The maximum donation pool is $3,000.
