Poppy Making for Children

14th April 2024

Our goal for ANZAC Day this year is to create a large commemorative poppy display where everyone can come to see what people from our community have created, take a minute to think of those who have experienced times of conflict and peacekeeping operations and leave a message in our Book of Remembrance next to our Lone Soldier, Jack.

In order to achieve this aim, we believe that our display will not be complete without inviting younger members of our community to add their own creative flair and add to the spectacle.

As such, we are proud to host a series of poppy making sessions* in-centre for children during the April 2024 school holidays. These will take place:

From 11am ā€“ 1pm

On Wednesday 17th | Thursday 18th  | Friday 19th  | Tuesday 23rd  | Wednesday 24th April

Outside Bed, Bath Nā€™ Table

A child who makes the best poppy each day will win a $50 gift card from Paper Plus! In addition, Golden Centre will donate one dollar for each poppy made to the Dunedin RSA.

*All materials supplied. Places available on a first come, first served basis. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
